General questions about our property development services.
Once you have decided what work you would like to have carried out, please contact us and we will arrange to come and visit you so that we can establish what you would like and offer advice if required. After our meeting, we will then calculate costs and give you a quotation.
The best way to contact us is via our contact form or our email address. We will always respond to you within 24hrs during the working week, although more than often we will get back to you on the same day. If you need to contact us about anything else once we start your project then you can always give us a call.
Not always, it depends on the work required. If you are looking to have say a chimney breast removed, then we will usually ask you for some details and photos via email, from this information we can usually give you a quotation. Also, if you have had drawings put together for say an extension, or new build, so long as all of the details / specifications are on the drawings, we will be able to provide you with a detailed quotation from these alone.
Yes, all of our quotations are broken down, so that each aspect of the work has its own individual cost, rather than one large cost at the bottom, without any breakdown. This helps our clients establish what is being spent where and how the overall cost has been achieved. It also shows areas of where savings can be made, or where more money could be spent.
The honest answer here is no. We are certainly open to negotiation on costs, however our aim is not to beat other quotations or be the cheapest builder, our aim is to be the best in what we do and give our customers a high quality finish. To enable this we source high quality materials and employ our team of very experienced tradesmen to carry out our jobs. Cheaper quotes are likely to be the result of using poor quality materials and less experienced, cheaper tradesmen.
We also make sure that our quotation covers all aspects of the work required, so there are no hidden extra costs for things we hadn't allowed for. A favourite for some companies is to provide a very cheap initial quote, then once they have started the work, they start adding extras, usually costing more at the end than if you had gone with a dearer, but more thorough quotation from another company, such as ours.
It all depends on the size of your project. If it's a smaller job, such as a few days’ work, then we can usually fit you in pretty quickly, if you have a larger project such as a refurbishment, extension or a new build, then we will be able to advise you of our current position and get you booked in. We will do all that we can to accommodate you.
With any building project, there will always be quite a lot of mess but we do clean up as we go and at the end of the day we leave your home as we found it. We will try and make it possible for you to still be able to have use of your kitchen and bathroom if we are refurbishing it.
